Early spring is the best time to perform the service, as in winter the installation is used in the toughest conditions. Rain, frost and variable temperatures can have a negative effect on every component. What is good to know about the service of LPG installation components? What to pay special attention to?

Filters

Filters are responsible for the contaminated fuel not getting into the combustion chamber. They catch any pollution from LPG fuel. Therefore, it is worth checking their condition regularly. If they are worn out and do not fulfill their function, they must be replaced.

Reducer

The correct work of the entire system depends on the efficiency of its operation. If its condition after the winter season is bad, it should be repaired or replaced with a new one.

Electric controller

Modern LPG installations are equipped with electric controllers, responsible for gas dosing, which is supplied to the cylinders. The controller must be properly calibrated. After winter, it is worth checking if it has not got out of adjustment and if necessary – re-calibrate it. Otherwise, the installation will not run smoothly.

Hoses/Cables

The installation includes rubber hoses. Over the years, they can become leaky, something can damage them, or start to dry rotted. If their condition raises doubts, they must be replaced with new ones.

Gas tank

The gas tank must have valid legalization. Once you install LPG system, it should be done after a period of 10 years. If the gas cylinder is in a bad condition, it will be necessary to install a new tank.

Valve tappets and injectors

During the check-up, you also need to evaluate the condition of the injectors and valve tappets. Otherwise, the valve seats may be burned out.
